Skip the Diet Drinks

Many dieters are turning to diet drinks and artificial sweeteners to reduce calories. Aspartame, Sucralose, Splenda, Acusulfame Potassium are in many of our no sugar/no calorie beverages. Diet drinks are nasty, chemical filled junk that distorts our metabolism, thyroid and hormones. When these important glands and systems are out of whack so is our natural ability to keep ourselves thin.

Many researchers are stumped as to why diet drinks are making our nation fatter. That is right - FATTER! Have you really ever lost weight by drinking diet soda? Many people actually lose weight quickly once they STOP drinking them. They look different, less bloated.

Studies have shown that diet drinks actually make people more hungry - they tease your body into thinking it is getting calories when there are none so - in turn - makes you want to eat.

As a weight loss coach I instruct my clients to stop the diet products and stick to water or use herbal teas or natural sweeteners - like Stevia or Agave Nectar. Drink water with lemon in it to neutralize the acidity in your body and it will help you not to crave sugar or salt. Diet drinks are acidic and if you continue to drink them you will always have a problem with food and find it difficult to eat healthy.

Experiment for 2 weeks - no diet drinks. Drink water with lots of lemon and watch the bloat and cravings disappear!
